New Facebook Page | Horse Art

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

Just a quick update post this time, no art to share at the moment, sorry!

Regular visitors to my blog may have noticed the change in the Facebook buttons on the right hand side of the page. I have decided to separate my art (drawings, paintings) from my existing South West Photography page. The new Facebook page is Michelle Wrighton Artist. I’m not 100% sure how I will utilise the Facebook page as opposed to this blog which I will obviously keep updating, but the ease of sharing photos within Facebook makes me think that running a few competitions for pet portrait paintings might be easy and fun to do, so if you are on Facebook, please add my new art page Michelle Wrighton Artist to your favourite pages and you will hear from me soon about the first competition!

“I’ll Scratch Your’s” Horse buddies

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

(Imported from Michelle Wrighton.com August 2007)

This is another quick experiment on drafting film, in this one I have pushed the drafting film to the limit to see how much pigment it will hold and I have also experimented with a more painterly approach and burnished the whole lot thoroughly! Its not quite the result I was aiming for (it needs more layers but there is no more tooth left in the film), but at least my eight year old horse mad daughter loves it:)  I did enjoy doing this one and the journey is sometimes more important than the destination, so it was worth it.

FINE ART PET PORTRAIT COMMISSIONS

Anyone can copy your favourite photographs.

Few can transform them into exquisite Fine Art.

I accept commissions worldwide for fine art commissions of horses, dogs, cats, pets and wildlife.

Commissioning a portrait is easy – simply select the size and type of portrait that you would like (photo manipulation, digital painting, genuine pastel or oil painting), send me a selection of your favourite photos to work from.  A 30% deposit is required to commence your portrait, and once completed a proof of the portrait will be emailed to you for approval before final payment is required.
